Julia Kennedy (UK)

Julia Kennedy joined EuropaColon in 2007 and has since then played a key role in project management. This has included the development of EuropaColon's Affiliate and Associate groups across Europe; advocacy at EU level for access to best treatments; the introduction of National Colorectal Cancer Screening programmes; National Cancer Plans and Colorectal Cancer Awareness Campaigns; plus the research, development and production of the UK's first educational model - THE INFLATABLE COLON. Julia became a Director of EuropaColon in 2009.

Prior to joining EuropaColon, Julia worked as Service Delivery Manager for Colon Cancer Concern for seven years. The key areas of her work were National Colorectal Cancer Surveys, Awareness Programme development, roll-out and evaluation,lobbying for the introduction of a National Bowel Cancer Screening programme in the UK, management of the organisations Patient Advisory Service and in collaboration with other National Charities the continued development of Bowel Cancer Awareness Month.
