EuropaColon aims to reduce deaths from colorectal cancer in Europe. It is the goal of EuropaColon to reduce the number of new cases of colorectal cancer and at the same time to help to increase survival rates. You may wish to help us in the fight against this disease and your donation will make a big difference.

Why YOU Should Support EuropaColon

There are many reasons why you may want to help us in our fight against colorectal cancer. These reasons may be professional, scientific or political. Even though it is sad to say, most individuals are moved to help for personal reasons and often wish they had done more to help sooner. Any help that you can give EuropaColon will be most gratefully accepted.

• You wish to help us in our mission to prevent deaths from the disease and to improve the lives and support for those affected by the disease

Improvement of health and the fight against disease involves all members of our society. Every time a citizen and fellow human being faces a life threatening disease, it is a mental, psychological, physical and financial burden on us as individuals and on society as a whole.  We have decided as a society that we are responsible for the wellbeing of each other – but the execution of this decision sometimes does not meet expectations.

Legacies

For most people the biggest hurdle to writing a will and making a legacy gift is not a legal and academic one but a personal one: it is simply one of the things that we keep postponing because it inevitably confronts us with thoughts of death. For the people who do make a will, the most usual remarks are: ‘that was much easier than I thought it would be’, ‘that is such a load off my shoulders’ and ‘I should have done that years ago’.

By including a gift in your will to EuropaColon you will help us to support future generations. We understand that family and friends come first and once you have taken care of those closest to you we ask that you kindly consider leaving a lasting legacy that will make a REAL difference. No matter how large or small your gift might be it will always be most gratefully accepted.

There are many different types of legacy to choose from and it is important to take advice from a legal representative to ensure that all legal formalities are correctly followed and that your will is valid.

Donations For Specific Projects

It is very important to EuropaColon donors and to be able to observe and verify how your donations are used. We are very happy to allocate donations to specific projects that may even in some cases be designed with input from the donor. We have many exciting projects that you might wish to support including awareness, research and education.

Should YOU Partner With EuropaColon

In just under seven years EuropaColon has contributed towards bringing colorectal cancer higher up on the European cancer agenda. We are truly proud of what we have achieved, none of which could have been done without our generous supporters.

There is however still a long way to go and unless efforts on every level are substantially increased evidence has shown that by 2020 colorectal cancer will become the biggest cancer killer in Europe. Cancer is a societal challenge that is not contained within single nations or regions and as such it requires international collaboration which is imperative to impact on the growing colorectal cancer burden.. .
